Has the practice of holding open practices in tourney venues been eliminated by NCAA?

I haven't seen any announced.

PACO - good question and I wish I could help. Have a very vague recollection that this was discontinued awhile back. We used to go and enjoyed it - would catch "Our Girls' and a few mins of the teams appearing right before and right after. If is was discontinued, in fact, perhaps there has been another review of that stance. Surely, some of the better connected will come up with a better response for you.

Yes. All practices are closed.

Jim Fuller:

The policy of having the #NCAA practices closed to the public will continue so Friday's practices in Bridgeport are not open

Speaking of practice, Rich Elliott and Jim Fuller are apparently at Gampel as both are reporting that, as expected, Tiffany is on the court and participating in practice.

Good to hear! Hopefully we will hear later that practice went OK and that the foot is none the worse for wear. Not that we need her for game 1, but the sooner she is 100%, the better.

found this in the UConn game notes for the first round game:

Each team will be provided 90 minutes of practice time the day prior to the first competition at the site. The court
will be open to members of the media for the first 15 minutes of practice after which the court will be cleared and
practice closed. Mini-camera operators may videotape practice from the baseline, behind the courtside media
area or from the public seating area
