Huh? Again? Not that I mind, but I contacted the fools last year in the ticket office and they said 2015 was a one year only - 1 yr renewal. 2016 back to the 3 yr commit. In the off chance we are going P5 and next year starts the revved up 3, okay. If not, keep it at 1 ongoing.

Huh? The school are "fools" because they are afraid of driving the remaining season ticket base away by asking for too much? I wish I was so all-knowing. It would help me as a lawyer.

Excuse me, counselor. They are lying on the stand. Perjury from the ticket office.

What's the big deal...1 yr or 3 yr you are getting the tickets again right?

Calmate. We're not at a point where we need to start extended commitments. Hopefully that will be coming down the road soon.

I am FDNY99. 6 tix near the kicking net, by our MVPs Wain and Puyol.

Step One: Win games
Step Two: Get into a better conference
Step Three: Sell out home games again
Step Four: Ask for people to commit to multi-year ticket packages

You guys always want to jump to the ending. We are exactly 12 months from potentially losing the entire season ticket base.

That's awesome! I wouldn't worry about the commit length. Maybe the decision to hold off on bringing back the longer commitments was due to the new surcharge they are doing to pay for facility upgrades.

The way I'm looking at it is that they are going to do the three year cycle at higher prices when they announce we are going to the P5. I will gladly pay more and commit to 3 or more years at that point.

If we go P5, the Rent fills for the next 5+ years, much like the first time around. It will be an electric place again. Not sure how much of price elasticity there is, but they will be able to increase and still fill the place. If they expand capacity, this may keep prices down a bit too.

1 year renewals are fine. Retain who we have locked in now and sell new season tickets to former ST holders and new fans with low contractual commitment. No new fan wants to lock themselves into a 3 year pact when they are unsure that the team will keep winning and/or get out of the AAC.

I think the 2016 outlook and schedule should bring a pretty good uptick in season tickets sold. The team should be bowl eligible again and has a shot at competing for an AAC title. The home schedule includes Syracuse, Virginia, Cincinnati, Temple and the conFLiCT. Get fans back to the Rent first, then worry about renewing and locking them in for longer term contracts.

what was our season ticket # last year? 13 k? 15k?

Edit: found info--looks like it was 15k? What should we be expecting for 2016? I'm hoping for 20k+

I was going to reply to say that 20k+ is too high. I think a lot of people are still weary of investing in season tix and the program in general. But the more I think about it, the recognizable names on the home schedule may be enough to hit that number. Right or wrong, casual UConn fans care a lot about who we play, maybe just as much as they care about UConn football's individual success. It'll be really interesting to see how the numbers shake out.

A 33% jump is... Unrealistic. Something to strive for though.

I definitely agree that a 33% increase is optimistic if not unrealistic, but we do have a much, much stronger home schedule and we experienced a 33% decrease (had approx 21,000 season tix in 2014) before dropping to 15 k in 2015. So, if a 33% decrease was a reality, why not a 33% increase? We just need to get the detractors back on board

We all know that the B12 (Navigate and BHV) is conducting its expansion candidate value research right now and will be sharing its findings in May. It would be a HUGE positive for UConn to be able to tell the B12, a football-first conference, that our season ticket pace is well ahead of last year's.

In April, before the research groups share their recommendations, if UConn can say something along the lines of: "In addition to being the #1 candidate on every other metric, UConn football also had an increase in spring game attendance AND is waaaay ahead of season ticket sales pace from last year." The B12 cares about football first, second and third then a distant fourth is hoops. To the B12 culture, our football attendance from the last few years is seen as a detriment on our expansion profile.

I just renewed and upgraded my tickets. HUGE mandatory donation, but ? It goes to UCONN and I am confident we are going to continue the winning ways. Stop whining and get your tickets!

Early Feb and approaching 3K NEW season tickets sold for 2016 @UHCougarFB season. 13 straight days with 100+ NEW tickets sold#HTownTakeover

This is exactly what I meant in my post earlier. UH offers absolutely nothing to the B12 footprint or hopes of a B12N and knows it can only sell what matters most to the B12: football. I don't want UConn to be left out in the cold, yet again, because of an entirely new metric from expansions past. It would be GREAT if UConn could also report similar season ticket increases and create buzz around football...then show it to the B12.

Just renewed my 4 season tickets and got 2 more this year. 2 more interested, but haven't committed yet. So, people are getting excited to see UConn football again as far as I can see. To go from my usual 4 to 8 would be great.

Added 1 seat to my package as well. I don't have anybody committed to the seat yet but I'm confident that I can use the ticket this season for most of the games.

I think we get a nice bump in season tix this year. The team has a nice schedule and forward momentum, especially when compared to a year ago. Also, overall ticket sales didn't crater as bad as many thought it would last season.
