since I started watching in 1991 FF. Basically just 6 deep and they just competed. Hope Saniya gets that one out of her system. We'll need her going forward.

Geno certainly was a key to the MD win. He did his best to conserve his players energy the entire game, but particularly in the last 10 minutes when there was a lot of intentional standing around as a strategy. Earlier, it was discouraging, after a long stretch of up-and-down the court to just be able to sub in one player, while the Terps used a tag team of minibusses to deliver subs to the scorer's table.

Again- Like the Stamford game- there are even more positives to grab from this game- how often, early in a season, do you see Geno that happy after a game. 2 stars down, on the road. Banks not showing much of her old form yet. Chong showing some stuff last week. Can Stokes have 2 real good back to back games in a tough road situation? Mo Jef had ok game vs Stamford. And we were in big time foul trouble the entire game. And with few subs we ran Maryland off the court when you thought they might have the chance to put the knife in us early in the 2nd half------I don't know about you guys-----but this game was down right inspiring on about 10 different levels. And tonight was without Chong basically. This team runs offense no matter who is out there. That used to happen when Geno played his 5-6 players in most years. but they all look like interchangeable parts- the timing of the plays and ball movement. I rewind and slow it down - all the ball screens, isolations----they are amazing!!!!!!! And Bria Hartley is a super star also- IMO!

Overall arguably, last game definitely, and perhaps for the first half of this one. The second - not so much: 0 for 11 shooting overall, 4 for 21 for the game (0 for 11 3's), poor shot selection from about the 15 minute mark, shooting early in the offense when the opponent was the clock (big lead, Dolson on the bench with 4 fouls).

Which makes this win all the more spectacular - 2 great players out injured, 2 posts and possibly the best player in the country all on the bench with fouls at various points, and 1 key senior under-performing. Incredible effort all around (mostly) with massive contributions from Jefferson and Banks. This team may be shorthanded, but there's no lack of character and contributors.

Phenomenal win.
