Seems Weist arrival shakes some thinking up (and last month's Don Brown leaving).

Recruiting-wise, I believe Weist & Bugg gave a little juice to our last few weeks effort; and it paid off nicely. Perkins always seems to find a nugget. Foley has been great over time (mostly in MA & NH; but now he is tied to Chasz Wright). GDL seems to have great cred with the NE coaches. Wholley. Cersosimo. Younger and stable. Speaking Recuiting -we really have never heard anything about Day.

So ... as you look across the positional landscape ... Cersosimo out of the WR slot pleases me. Weist has a solid track record, imo, on developing a core at Cincinnati. Bugg? Be nice to see the RBs like we had under Richardson whereby you would see one after another show solid ability & development. Wholley, who was a question mark when he took the LB role, seems to have had a solid time with our LBs. (how much was that the assistance of long beards Hughes & Don Brown next to him). I'm still ticked that Foley has the "Tight End" title instead of the OL where he earned his pay. I suspect he is still integral to the development on the Offensive side (and frankly, I am just glad he is still on the staff). Development of our DBs has been solid for the last year of the Edsall regime to today.

I think we need a good DE (maybe DL) coach who has good Florida relationships. Bugg seems to bring the important Tidewater & PA relations. Weist has Ohio & Michigan roots. We have reinforced our strong PA marketing. (a little less in Jersey frankly) We really have not replaced the type of finds we got from Terry Richardson. And, I think Hank Hughes could use a guy to assist him; maybe with OLB responsibility too.

Hughes is the DL coach as well.

I wouldn't mind us hiring the DL, OLB coach from Sacred Heart, Darin Edwards. He's a local guy, played his HS ball in state, coached both HS and college in state, played college ball down south in Alabama (while it's not Florida it's still a FB hotbed). Also, I've had the opportunity to hear him speak at a few clinics and he seemed knowledgeable and passionate about the game.

Looks like a talented young coach. For those who don't want to click through the link, he played at Miles College in Alabama. The best part of his background is his arena league and indoor football league pro experience.
