Just off the cuff, I think Boston, Amihere & Cardoso are ready to turn pro now. ;)

There are a lot of really good young guards in college basketball. I found myself thinking about what the WNBA is going to look like when they get there.

I haven’t had a chance to post this anywhere else so let me stick it in here. Cardoso looks so much more fit and played smarter this year. Being a year older and being coached by Staley has been good to her.

Then why did she play only 12 minutes in yesterday's game?

I agree with Boston. Cardoso with a good pro coach will be successful. Don't know too much about Amihere.

What does UR mean?
Un-Ranked - that is to say, "not in ESPN/HoopGurlz top 100." The UConn players are internationals so may have had rrankings. TH SCar players are from SC schools and were not ranked by anybody that I know of.

I didn’t think Cardoso or Amihere were particularly impactful yesterday. Boston and SC’s 2 guards did much of the damage against UConn.
In 12 miinutes, Cardosa outrebounded any player on UConn's team. I consider that impactful. Of course, the real impact of both was to contribute to a rested Boston in the 4th quarter.

Coach Reeve was in Nassau checking out the talent. I expect she’ll stay over to see the tourney at Baha Mar this coming weekend.

Each team had one freshman who got PT last night. HG#1 Azzi Fudd and HG#14 Bree Hall.

Neither scored a point or made much of a contribution. I don't think either was ready for the speed and other physical talent of the opposition. It's a looong way from a hs or aau all star game.

The thing about South Carolina is they play a different brand of basketball depending on the opposition. I have seen that from them for years. It's why they are so hard to beat. They have guard play when they need it and the big's have huge games when they need it. The leading scorers are different from game to game. That is balance and then some....lol....
