The great places like Honis's Oyster House, 36 Lewis Street, the ORIGINAL Russian Lady and JP's closing down - the late 70's and early 80's were really active downtown
The Whalers being hijacked and demise of the Civic Center
No more concerts at Dillon Stadium

Honiss Oyster House - man my old man used to go there after work. I'm pretty sure he hated coming home, That guy was about as unprepared for marriage and fatherhood as you could possibly imagine, but that's a story for another time.

Disappointed 12 was not an option

"I'm listening."

These guys could screw up a wet dream. It should be a gem but it's a shame.

That said, in a few years it won't matter.

And that's what attendance looks like for the Bees.[/QUOTES]
.

Still much better than what the Yard Goats are drawing. :)
Actually the Bees are drawing okay in early season weekend games

Question. For anyone who has gone to a Bee's game, is it pretty much the same as Rock Cats baseball quality wise?

So ..... Just saw a news report ( maybe I'm slow if so sorry) that

A) they have given up stadium for the whole season

B) the mayor of Hartford says he doesn't think the Hard Rock is coming

Banner day

Let's hope no one gets shot tonight.

Did Hard Rock finally realize they went out of business in 1991?

So the Hooker Brewery is dead in the water. The Hard Rock is also a dead end. ESPN has never lifted a pinky finger to help try and get Hartford on track and they lay quietly over in Bristol...and it's almost mid-June and the stadium that was going to start Hartford back to greatness in April is still like half done.
