Swin Cash a Hall finalist
Former UConn star and Olympian Swin Cash has been named one of 12 finalists for the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2020, announced on Thursday night. The Class of 2020 will be announced on Feb. 10 during the UConn-South Carolina game.
Cash played at UConn from 1998-2002 and was part of national championship teams in 2000 and ‘02. She won Olympic gold medals in 2004 and ’12, was a four-time WNBA All-Star and two-time MVP of the league’s All-Star game.
Other finalists include players Debbie Brock, Tamika Catchings and Lauren Jackson. Also coaches Doug Bruno, Lucille Kyvallos, Paul Sanderford and Bob Schneider as well contributors Carol Callan, Sue Donohoe and Carol Stiff and official Lisa Mattingly.
