Just a heads-up on some UConn-related kids playing in the HOF event at
Springfield College over the weekend....a fabulous event of high school ball
all weekend long.

Christ The King [Omar] versus Mater Dei at 5:00 on Monday January 16.
It's on ESPNU.

Northwest Catholic [Kuran] plays DeMatha at 8:00 on Saturday.

Tilton [Noels....do we have a shot at him?] plays Brewster on Sunday at 4:00...
on ESPN.

Many of the top high school teams in the country will be playing on Saturday/Sunday/Monday...
blue chips all over the place. It arguably is the best high school event in the country...props to Greg Procino the HOF director of the games.

I am sure there is a link to the entire schedule somewhere....help!

OT: on Friday the 13th Cicero North is playing West Springfield in a featured girls' game.
6:00 is the time. Cicero features 2012's #1 player Breanna Stewart...coming to UConn next year.
She is a versatile front-court player....6'4" with a wingspan of 6'10" [apparently accurately measured]. By many accounts she is The Next One.

btw: Omar Calhoun's sister [Sierra...a soph athletic wing player for Christ The King] is playing at 7:30 on Friday against East Longmeadow.

I like Omar's game a lot. i think he's going to be really solid for UCONN. i assume his family really likes UCONN too? that bodes well for his sister who is somewhere in the top 10 or so in her class...
