If I had to guess, I would say USA Plays each team in their bracket once. the top 2 in each bracket play the top 2 in the other b racket with the winner of each advancing to the gold medal game. If USA is #1 in their bracket, they'd play the #2 on the other side to get to the gold medal game. I'm sure someone on here knows for sure tho...

There's also a quarter-final round. So, the first-place team in Group A places the fourth-place team in Group B.

Harrumph.. all the stuff that's surrounded Rio since day one has sorta put me off the Games as a whole. Worry about the health of the athletes, staff, support staff, reporters, attendees, country.... It's all a hot mess and, while it's not a top issue these days, seems to me the easiest way to undermine a country is to give them the Olympics.

That being said, I am planning my trip to Spain in 2018 for the Worlds.... Ole'
