any chance that UCLA gives KO a call? to be the new Prince of Westwood.

he is from LA & Uconn has no conference affiliation.

dont kill me , just went through my mind today.

I think KO knows he has the full backing of the athletic department and the administration here at UConn. He might not have quite the same level of support from the UCLA AD, trustees, president, even students, even if it is his hometown. Plus he genuinely loves UConn. If they called, I'm sure he'd take the call but I'd be fairly confident he'd decide to stay.

KO is a lifer. If he wanted to live in Cali he would have done it years ago. He loves CT.

Why would they want Ollie? For real...While I think he's going to be very good, but he's only coached for one year, and had a better-than-expected year. But he has no postseason wins.

If he's on their radar, UCLA is in worse shape than I thought.

Are you a UConn fan? Do you read this board? Ollie, like several have said, bleeds UConn blue. You sound like a PC fan coming here to stir things up.

I love Calhoun more than any sports figure I've ever followed in my 35+ years of being a sports fan. I've said for years that I sit in the backseat and let Calhoun drive the car. I trust that we will end up at the right destination.

I'm ten toes in on Ollie.

It was a different situation, but North Carolina hired Matt Doherty on the strength of only one barely decent season at Notre Dame.
Of course, that was all about keeping it in the family, and Ollie didn't go to UCLA.

"I am UConn, I went here, I graduated here. It's from me. It's from the inside and that's why I love this state, thats why I love these fans and thats why I call them my family"

I love that clip! Man, KO makes me want to throw on a jersey and go play right now!

They could offer him 5 MM a year and he would say "no thank you- I appreciate the consideration but I am right where I want to be". KO loves his life and is not looking to do anything but build his own legacy in the place he loves the most. One of the few things that has happened in the last few years to UCONN basketball I am sure about.

It's not worth it. Expectations are too high and a bunch of fair-weather fans living off the distant memories of Wooden's success.
