This is a very well written article about the immediate impact Ollie's extension will have on recruiting, particularly for class 2014.
"But with the vast majority of the nation’s top 2013 prospects already committed or winding down their recruitment, it’s clear Ollie and his staff have targeted the Class of 2014 as their first true opportunity to make a recruiting splash.
They’ve laid the groundwork with Okafor, Terrell and Abu along with several other ESPN 60 prospects like Shaqquan Aaron (Seattle/Rainier Beach), Daniel Hamilton (Los Angeles/Saint John Bosco), Ahmed Hill (Augusta, Ga./Aquinas), Jordan McLaughlin (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif./Etiwanda), Kelly Oubre (Fort Bend, Texas/Bush) and Craig Victor (New Orleans/Saint Augustine).
With Ollie’s extension done and the program’s future more settled, the task at hand now becomes getting two or three of those guys to say yes to joining the next generation of a very proud Connecticut program."
