Good for him if you can make $3m to coach a middling team in a garbage league

What a score

Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, but didn't see anything. Did we sign him to a new deal? Hope so

Looks like this was a typo, geno signed the extension

He has, but no reason a coach in the AAC should make $3M in theory given the revenue and interest level (were there even 5k people @ XL last night?)

post. Ollie has done a great job this year.

Per the official attendance numbers, ~9600.

7 tournament wins. We beat Colorado in the opening round last year. KO's record in the NCAA Tourney is 7-1. His record in the AAC Tourney is 8-2. So yeah, it's obvious, he stinks.
And one year he was banned, so it's 7-1 in 3 years (also likely to be 7-1 in 4, but it ain't yet).

Pretty sure it's Geno. I really don't think Ollie has earned the right to an extension by any means...yet. Still time left in the season.

From referenced article: "In November, UConn also agreed to a new five-year contract with men’s basketball coach Kevin Ollie that is scheduled to give him basic compensation of $17.9 million. Including a $200,000 deferred payment that would vest on May 1 if he remains UConn’s coach, Ollie is getting $3.3 million for this season — $100,000 more than he had been set to receive under his old deal.

Ollie's new deal also did not reinstate the buyout he would owe UConn if he leaves to take an NBA head or assistant coaching job. Under his previous deal, that buyout was set to expire late last month -- the one-year anniversary of former UConn athletics director Warde Manuel's departure for the University of Michigan"
