Have you considered WNBA League Pass (I think that is still the name)? It's an app for your phone that will allow you to watch all games in real time (live), and also to watch replays and even highlights. It costs about $15 for the entire season, as I recall.I just wish I could figure out how to watch the Sun games. Apparently, NBC Sports Boston isn't available anymore on YouTubeTV, and I can't sign up for separate streaming.
I was at the Liberty/Sun game and Liv was terrific. Tough rebounds, tough lay-ups made, even blocked Jonquel Jones under the basket. The Sun trailed by 16 mid third quarter but went ahead with about 5 minutes left in the game. They couldn't pull it out, but my favorite player went nuts and fueled the comeback- DiJonai Carrington (yes, the Dijonai Carrington from the infamous E8 Baylor game in 2021). Too much fire power from the Liberty with Jones, Stewie, Vanderslute, and the rest of the crew. It was a great game and it was the loudest WBB game I have ever attended. Fun time with my grandson. In 21 minutes 6 for 6; 2 /3 ft, 5 boards, 2 steals, 1 block, no turnovers and +9 in a losing cause
Impressive numbers
Bonner bricked 3 shots in a row down the stretch without even looking to pass. Teams need their best players to step up then.I was at the Liberty/Sun game and Liv was terrific. Sun games on WNBA pass are apparently blacked out in my ZIP code (Bristol) if they're on NBC Sports Boston, so I don't think that solution would work for me. I'm not really looking to watch tons of random WNBA games, just some of the Sun games. Also, I have a super cheap smartphone that can't run streaming apps very well, so I'd need it to work on my TV or my laptop, and I don't have Amazon Fire TV. But I think I'd be able to subscribe through YouTubeTV. The real problem is that YouTubeTV is enforcing the NBC Sports Boston blackout, but not including NBC Sports Boston in my package based on my ZIP code. It must be a mileage from Boston thing, because New Britain, Farmington, Burlington and Avon get NBC Sports Boston, but Plainville, Southington and Bristol don't (all Hartford County towns). I think I just miss the cut by three or four miles.Have you considered WNBA League Pass (I think that is still the name)? One problem is that it is designed for phone screens, and won't resize for laptop screens. However, there is a similar app for Amazon Fire TV, and it will allow you to watch the games on your TV screen at full size.
You don't even have to pick a team -- you can watch any WNBA game. I watch the Lynx in particular because of Napheesa and Dorka, but other teams are also of interest to UConn fans, e.g., the LA Sparks with Azura and "honorary" Husky Karli Samuelson, or Dallas with Crystal and (in the near future) Lou, not to mention another honorary Husky, Maddy Siegrist.
You might be confused with YTTV dropping SNY. I still get NBC Sports Boston on YouTubeTV here in Central Connecticut.I just wish I could figure out how to watch the Sun games. Apparently, NBC Sports Boston isn't available anymore on YouTubeTV, and I can't sign up for separate streaming.
If you have ION on your system they have been broadcasting WNBA games on Friday nights but not always Sun games.Sun games on WNBA pass are apparently blacked out in my ZIP code (Bristol) if they're on NBC Sports Boston, so I don't think that solution would work for me. I might try contacting YouTubeTV for some answers. It seems like we're just falling through the cracks.
Yeah, that was really pissing me off. Liv and Carrington were doing most of the scoring during the comeback, and AT also threw up a brick. They could have won that game.Bonner bricked 3 shots in a row down the stretch without even looking to pass. Teams need their best players to step up then.
And games show up on NBA TV. I think last night was on.If you have ION on your system they have been broadcasting WNBA games on Friday nights but not always Sun games.
Yes, it was scheduled, but the live broadcast was blacked out on my feed because of the NBC Sports Boston blackout rules that impact Hartford County. I did notice that the re-air at 10pm was viewable, but by then I knew the outcome already. Again, any game being broadcast live on NBC Sports Boston is being blacked out on any other network simultaneously broadcasting the game, despite the fact that my town isn't actually getting NBC Sports Boston. It has to be some kind of oversight. I contacted YouTubeTV today and spent 20 minutes trying to explain it to someone, but I'm not sure they understood the issue at all. I just hope they pass it along to someone who can grasp the problem. And games show up on NBA TV. I think last night was on.
Holy smokes! I thought with the League Pass, a person could watch a team no matter the area. YouTube might be the best route to go through as well.Sun games on WNBA pass are apparently blacked out in my ZIP code (Bristol) if they're on NBC Sports Boston, so I don't think that solution would work for me. Too bad the Sun lost Jones for the season. Critical piece. Without her, I dont think they have enough size and scoring to win it all this year. Ono is good with limited minutes, but she's not a workhorse like Jones in the paint.
You get all the games, but not necessarily live. I can't get the Mystics live except on TV. Not only that, it's both home and away games. I suspect they have a contract with NBCSports Washington (or maybe it's Mid Atlantic Sports Network) that stipulates this, but NBCSW/MASN doesn't carry very many games. So if it's a game I really want to see, I can watch it on League Pass soon after it's finished. Without commercials.Holy smokes! Yep, I just heard back from YouTubeTV, and they told me this:You get all the games, but not necessarily live. I can't get the Mystics live except on TV. Not only that, it's both home and away games. I suspect this happens in other markets.
