O'Leary Stepping down as UCF AD. Will remain HC

He should have stepped down as head coach instead. Now the next AD can fire him. Now had he remained the AD he might have a little more job security.
 
I thought he was interim AD to work the rooms of the Big 12 for Conference Realignment. Reading into this tells me UCF isn't going anywhere soon.
 
It wasn't his "choice" to step down as AD. In fact he had mentioned he wanted the gig after coaching. President and their board want a national search.

I read about it Saturday in the Orlando Sentinel.
 
In speaking with some UCF folks before the game, it sounded like there is a larger mess than most think/expect down there. Kids are not happy with the situation right now and some have apparently expressed a desire to leave. Didn't get names. Figured they were BSing me...but after thinking about it....I can sorta see it. Wonder if some of their recruits from the past 2 classes were led to believe something XII ish.

I mean O'Leary has been very vocal about getting UCF into the Big 12, this wouldn't surprise me.
 
Those kids need to look in the mirror, I mean anyone watching them play Saturday could clearly see they're too talented for this league.
