They have too many bodies already with guaranteed contracts.

My guess is one just opened up with birds demons getting the better of him.

90 mil in career earnings, hopefully he finds somewhere else to land or another passion to support.

They definitely don't need a 35 year old center though. I don't think Okafor is done in the NBA just yet, but he definitely won't be a Celtic

Bazz would’ve been a better fit.

Or even ty Lawson.

I believe They still have their mle to play with

Something tells me he’s gonna be fine financially.

All the connections he’s probably got just form being a player plus a legit finance degree done in 3 years. He’ll get a shot somewhere if he needs to.

I remember that when he graduated in 3 years people were saying he would probably be a senator from CT some day.

IIRC he had a shot at a Rhodes scholarship when he was finishing up at UConn but passed to go to the NBA - I suspect he'll have no issue finding something that will stimulate his brain if his basketball playing career is done.

I could see him getting his MBA from UConn while coaching our big men. He could stay connected to the game and his Alma Mater and manage his money.

Yeah I see O as a guy you bring in like Ollie to teach the young guys. I'd love him at UConn but he has some NBA checks to collect
