There are folks who spend their entire lives watching, analyzing, breaking down matchups, etc.. who barely make better prognostications than the average fan. As has been stated many, many times, a one and done tournament is a different species of animal than a five or seven game series.

I too thought Baylor would win. Did not think OS was athletic enough, so I was surprised in Baylor's lose. I do think we will have an easier time with Oregon State because of the match ups. Time will tell.

I don't know why people tought Baylor would win in a walk. OREST has the best PG in the PAC-12, the POY in that Conference and the DPOY. They sat back in their 2-3 zone and dared Baylor to beat them from the outside and they couldn't. Nina Davis showed you why she won't be a factor at the next level as length of OREST bothered her, Hamblin battled Brown and Momprier[sic] to a draw and Baylor had no answer for Weisner. The questions for them Sunday are simple, can Hamblin and Devin Hunter guard Stewie and Tuck? Can Weise stand up to the defensive pressure of Kia Nurse? Will Mojet shut down Jamie Weisner like she has everyone else? Will Lou and Pheesa play like AA's or freshmen? I believe I know the answers, but we'll see on Sunday.

Oregon State is a very smart and tight team and I am impressed by their coach. I think they will have a problem with Uconn, but I think it could be like the BYU in the Nebraska regional, but against a more balanced team. If Uconn does not play well, they could easily get beat if Oregon State plays their A game.

It's what can happen when you avoid the best competition during the season. Team not tested by fire. That's one of the elements that makes Geno et. al. so great.

What type of seasoning will you be eating your words with? Also, will there be wine?? :P

If Mulkey did not get the technical foul, would Baylor win this game? Because it is 1 pt plus 1 possession difference. Also should she get a technical foul? Since she was throwing the jacket in her bench place not into the court ot refs. (just questions)

No the tech didn't cost Baylor the game, their inability to make FT's, the lack of a cohesive half-court zone offense, the length of OREST, the domination of Weise and Wiesner of Baylor's perimeter players, cost them the game. Mulkey needs to tone it down, her act has gotten tiresome and may be counterproductive officials don't like to be shown up.

It wasn't the lack of competition, Baylor is a good team regardless of who they played or didn't play. They beat Texas 3x this year. They missed FT's, they didn't have a plan to successfully attack OREST's zone often relying on isolation plays or jump shots, they couldn't defend Weise or Wiesner, they thought they'd win on sheer talent and their coach is clown on the sidelines and the officials paid attention to it. It was just the wrong time to play poorly.

I'm feeling good that our team should have no problem handling OS, I don't think they have enough power in them to win. You will see at time they can't buy a basket because of our defense.
We are going to hit them inside and out so fast that they don't know what just hit them.
Napheesa and Gabby are the best players off the bench.
