I admit thought Baylor would win. Oregon State played well. It will be a tough semi final from what I saw tonight!!
Yeah, it will be a tough night for UConn; they wont win by more than 35.I admit thought Baylor would win. Oregon State played well. It will be a tough semi final from what I saw tonight!!
It's what can happen when you avoid the best competition during the season. Team not tested by fire. That's one of the elements that makes Geno et. al. so great.I don't know why people tought Baylor would win in a walk. OREST has the best PG in the PAC-12, the POY in that Conference and the DPOY. They sat back in their 2-3 zone and dared Baylor to beat them from the outside and they couldn't. Nina Davis showed you why she won't be a factor at the next level as length of OREST bothered her, Hamblin battled Brown and Momprier[sic] to a draw and Baylor had no answer for Weisner. The questions for them Sunday are simple, can Hamblin and Devin Hunter guard Stewie and Tuck? Can Weise stand up to the defensive pressure of Kia Nurse? Will Mojet shut down Jamie Weisner like she has everyone else? Will Lou and Pheesa play like AA's or freshmen? I believe I know the answers, but we'll see on Sunday.
If Mulkey did not get the technical foul, would Baylor win this game? Because it is 1 pt plus 1 possession difference. Also should she get a technical foul? Since she was throwing the jacket in her bench place not into the court ot refs. (just questions)
It wasn't the lack of competition, Baylor is a good team regardless of who they played or didn't play. They beat Texas 3x this year. They missed FT's, they didn't have a plan to successfully attack OREST's zone often relying on isolation plays or jump shots, they couldn't defend Weise or Wiesner, they thought they'd win on sheer talent and their coach is clown on the sidelines and the officials paid attention to it. It was just the wrong time to play poorly. It's what can happen when you avoid the best competition during the season. Team not tested by fire.
