I think because we wonder what it is you do with all that ACC money, There is not one sport that has seemed to have outwardly benefited from it. None. Not one. There is so much that we can accomplish with it, that is what you are ultimately afraid of.

I do not expect to see many UConn threads on a BC board. What would you talk about? Us beating you this year on the court? Another trip to the Final Four for UConn while you guys won like 8 games?

Talking about that would be depressing for you guys, I understand why you avoid the UConn topic. You should, it is a good idea. Unless you guys are all masochists.

However, why would we not take joy in the demise of the program who is afraid to have us in their own league?

Do you not understand what "irrelevant" means? BCU has insured their irrelevance with this hire. Just because some of us take delight in that doesn't elevate them from irrelevance.

I don't know. Everyone said the exact same thing when BC hired Steve Addazio. That hire has turned out to be a pretty darn good one.

Time will tell on this hire as well.

I know very little about Jim Christian. What gets me is that are we really supposed to believe any program would turn down the interest of Jim Calhoun for this hire? Its a joke. Just like throwing Calhoun's name out there in the first place in order to legitimize this opportunity.

Well, do we really know how Jim Calhoun's name got tossed into the mix? IMO, it was probably the media trying to create a story. I can see no reason why Jim Calhoun would be interested in the BC job at this stage in his life. IMO, most likely no interest on his part for BC to turn down.

We'll see. I actually thought Addazio was a good hire. This one I'm skeptical of. The ACC has had 2 tiers:

1. UNC/Duke
2. Everyone else

They will still have 2 tiers, although Louisville and Syracuse will be in that upper eschalon.

Despite what people are saying, I don't know enough to know whether this is a bad hire. It just seems like a hire designed not to draw any attention to itself.
