It's just not fair.. Every since they won four NC's in a row, it seems the basketball God's would like to punish the program, seriously. I mean how dare UCWBB almost go undefeated after losing the likes of Breanna Stewart, Morgan Tuck, & Moriah Jefferson to the WNBA. How is that even possible? If only they would comply with the expectation of the haters, but Noooo.. They had to be defiant and show up almost every other program.. Especially since the powers that be decided a recruiting class of only one elite player, (CD), should further help even things out a bit, But instead of Complying, once again that Geno guy goes and recruit an Elite Transfer from another program (AS) along with another solid player in (BC) adding more fuel to the hater's bonfire... You are not supposed to be in the Final they say, why couldn't you just go away and take time to rebuild like any other normal program? How dare you only have two losses in two seasons.
Okay well, that didn't work so let's try the opposite approach, Let's give them a successful recruiting class, while they have all that talent and see if we can create some drama within the camp. Let's toss in a few key injuries here and there as well, that ought to do it. So What does Geno do? Go undefeated in the regular season again despite all of that, reach another Final four and goes out and successfully recruit two out of his three top Elite HS players. Life is Just not fair... Why do they hate us so... ?
Dear Lord, Please let 2018-19 be the year when we go undefeated and bring home our twelfth NC, I will gladly trade that for the loss of any number of potential recruits this year. God Bless those who choose not to attend the Univerity of Connecticut, better to have them never commit than to commit and be unhappy. Our record speaks for itself, we should not have to seduce anyone to come here, if it is that hard of a decision to make then just perhaps UCONN is not where they should be... The question for any elite prospect should be, Why NOT UConn? it is as simple as that...
