Ogunbowale proves she is money again!

Can't question the heart of Okumbowale...she wants the ball at crunch time, she wants to take the shot and she is the ice queen...with two game winners in two nights. Right after she wins the national championship...she gets interviewed and puts a plug in for ND recruiting...telling recruits if they are undecided come to ND because this is what we do...win championships. Too bad, this is the first championship in 17 years. Ah, but, you can't take it away from her...she won ND a championship and she was the Final Four most outstanding player. We have had tough players at UConn too. Players like Diana and Maya stepped up to take games over. Maybe one of more of our seniors will become such players next year to see our team through adversity.

Maybe if didn't shoot 5 for 20 before that shot, they wouldn't have needed a last second basket. Ogumbawale is a very streaky shooter, who usually doesn't start making baskets until the second half. Being a team player is not her strongest suit.

Itti bitty had a couple of really good games last year in the tournament. She has never repeated that sort of effort since. Sometimes a player just gets hot at the right time. What are the odds that this happens for Arike again? Two games in three days are close enough to ride the same streak.
