It’s an easy mistake to make with how much we’ve beaten up on them in recent memory, but we have not played Gonzaga this season. That being said, I completely agree with your sentiment.

Edit: you self-corrected before I posted. Deserved #2 nonetheless.

This thing is pretty chalk. And yes, we definitely deserve 2. We have 4 wins against teams ranked 11 through 19. This isn't a power ranking as much as it is who's lost less and recently ranking.

Losing to Butler hurt them quite a bit. Even if they only won by a basket or two SH would have been a few spots outside 25. A clear win may have left them ranked.

Sadly, a couple more performances like the Butler game could put them on the wrong side of the bubble.

Speaking of Gonzaga, I had a Drew Timme sighting the other day. He was pretty good. I thought for sure we'd never see him again after Clingan stuffed him in a locker.

My thinking that is with the way the game is played and called by the zebras in the league, if UCONN's outside shots aren't falling, they should expect to be in a dogfight.

Meanwhile UNC loses twice to unranked teams and is still 24th, yet Seton Hall loses a barn burner to the #2 team in the country and then one to Butjer and doesn’t even receive one vote this week??

And yet you’re all in the edge of your seats waiting for the weekly poll to come out. It’s like you’re married to a pretty girl but every week you need 60 random people to tell you she’s pretty……and most of them have never seen her!! Just take solace in knowing she is pretty!!!!

It's probably because this stuff determines seeding.

Florida must not have been too happy to draw UConn the second weekend last year, and it was all because they had us seeded 8th. I had us seeded 6th.
