There is a revenge factor and this UCONN team knows this is an important game. This one will not be overlooked.

Johnson pounds away for 100+ and that opens up the passing game for Sherriffs and crew. I think either the defense or specials gets a TD. The defense does a nice job with the option.

The game films will present opportunities and challenges for our coaches. Our speed group needs to be in because Army thrives on misdirection and their QB is very tough to contain. "Should" be a good matchup for our D if disciplined. They can also throw better than in years past but we are going to be a dangerous team to throw against.

We don't need to open up the playbook to win this one. Scores 3 O td's against nova. I think 4-5 td's and ball control again using the same plays but different mix. Save the newer stuff for Mizzou, BYU and Navy.

Our 200 level D plus better O should limit Army yds and scoring. We roll 35 to 10.

I feel better about this one than last week. I certainly hope Army is not going to get 300+ yards on the ground on our D like it did last year. Army also lost a bunch of offense from last year. I personally would like to see our offense open up on Saturday, but I have a feeling it won't. That's OK - it doesn't need to beat Army. I'll say 24-10 Huskies.

The Oline looks more comfortable and confident due to being larger and more disciplined. Thet make huge holes for the backs and enough time for Sheriffs to make plays. I see 150 yards rushing and another 200 to 225 yards passing with at least 3 more sacks and another INT

I'm still enjoying our undefeated status! Not quite ready to look that far ahead at this point.

UConn 24-20. Still struggle with triple option but will show improvement. I think RonJon runs hard again and the OL does a good job opening holes. But the team is still in "learning how to win" mode, they'll make enough mistakes to keep it closer than necessary. Regardless, I'm excited at the proposition of starting the year 2-0.

UConn left at least 2 touchdowns on the field last week with either botched plays or penalties. Shouldn't do that this week against a weaker opponent in Army. 37-16 UConn in a game that helps us prepare for Missouri. Confidence-wise that is.

I don't think Army will score 14 points because UConn will not shoot themselves in the foot a couple times like last week. I watched Army's game vs Fordham. Even though Army's QB is quick, he's not going to be quick enough. UConn is a lot bigger and faster on both lines. The Husky D will fill gaps much faster than Fordham which should allow UConn's DB's two interceptions because I feel Bradshaw will toss a few desperation floaters. I'm sure Diaco wants to see improvement in the running game and this is the perfect opportunity. Look for 200 yards rushing between Johnson, Newsome and Delorenzo. Final UConn 30 - Army 13

I just don't understand.

Usually, I could predict UConn winning by two touchdowns, and that would be enough to show my unmatched belief in this team. But this friggin thread has blown up with confidence an optimism not seen here in a great many years. Well, alright. Okay, then. Here's my prediction:

Last week, I said 20 to 17 over Nova....

Last week, Army gave up 37 points to a Fordam team starting 18 new players
including a new QB (who threw for 320 yards) with 32 freshmen on the team.

This week:
BS throws and runs for 300 yards.
Ron Jon has a 100 yd plus game.
Verducci conservatively calls a game that nets us 425 yards of total offense- without revealing anything to BYU, Navy and mizzou because
the OL & DL dominate lines of scrimmage and we hold them to less than 100 yards of total offense.
Most of all,,,we show improved team discipline-no fights, no holding penalties and better use of the clock!!!
This week we beat the spread by at least 14 points.

UCONN 30 - Army 7 in a total convincing beat down that is not reflected in the final score as HCBD plays his bench in the 2nd half !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
