Lots going on here and I want to make sure we run this one to ground too.

The juxtaposition of BD's no return philosophy and only catch a clean ball that pinned UConn deep vs. Navy's return to inside the 20 on the subsequent drive completed the change of momentum.

Also showed once again that BD doesn't believe in his players to make plays.

I can't like this post enough. The most amazing thing about that awful situation is that Bob managed to do something that was so egregious that we are all forgetting that his BS philosophy actually got us to the point where we needed a touchdown in the first place.

To be fair, he doesn't cover punts either.

I was more concerned at the punt coverage. Our guys do know the returner is free to light up if he hasn't called a fair catch, right? Instead we pulled up allowed clean catches then flailed and missed tackles.

He sets the rules. His rules are fair catch and stay away from a ball if it isn't any easy catch. That cost us a 50 yard change in field position at a critical moment. Total losing mentality.
I was referring to when we punt.

KO's were an abomination as well. Both coverage and returns. A block and a fake FG were both successful and still didn't overcome the ineptness of the other special teams plays. Do you know how hard that is to accomplish. That was a 10 pt swing and we still didn't win on specials.
