I would say none of that. Maybe a rules refresher for the team would be in order.
 
It is what it is.BYU is just better theres a reason were playing these teams to get better. All I wanted was a shot at the end like the Mizzou game. Realistically this team is still a year away, still frustrated with not coming away with a win.

Rutgers? Boston college? Although I do find myself laughing my ass off throughout their games, so idk if they count?
 
We should have won this game. Poor play calling and too much defensive space allowed. Plus the Adams blunder. Adams cost the team and every UConn bettor.

My college football fandom has degraded to watching games to watch teams lose so others can feel my pain. It's true ... Misery does love company.

1. Newsome needs the ball more. ALOT more.

2. Our OL still struggles with things like stunts, zone blitzes and overloads.

3. Andrew Adams needs to sit in timeout on the flight home.

Yeah I mentioned in the degen thread I won't bet them if they're favored. When they didn't cover the army spread I was bummed even though they won. If they're dogs and they lose but cover ok. At least I don't have to be pissed about winning by not enough.
 
20 hours a week is what staff gets with kids - only 20.

Coach feels they have Mastered just about every trick play there is except fumblerooskie...

There is always homecoming to trot it out.
 
Ugly game to watch, I hate the bend but don't break defense, I much prefer Brown's attacking style defense. With that being said, if Adams doesn't screw up we get the ball back in the fourth quarter with the opportunity to go ahead! Also, I don't understand the onside kick at all.

We had no business winning that game. Looked lost on defense and on the Oline. Our defense was waiting for BYU to shoot themselves in the foot.

I would like to see BD not insert himself into every game trying to be a hero/genius. Down 7 with 8 minutes left is not a spot for an onside kick. He basically put his entire stack of chips on red. He doesn't have to do that. Try preparing your team for basic plays that will be run against them. He can't make them faster, so he should try to make them play smarter.

He is trying not to get embarrassed. That's why he is essentially playing the prevent then entire game. I was hoping for 3-2 after 5 games, but these next five wil define the season. We need to be 4-1 to get a bowl bid at least 3-2 to have a chance the last two games.

I'll admit to thinking about #3 and that maybe someone else should get in the game. Shirreffs ran too early a couple times and his interceptions were just awful. The offense really hasn't moved the ball, but knowing little about the backups other than Boyle, maybe this is the best we can do.
As for #4, there were a couple times I talked to the TV, mostly on ball spots, but at no point did I think they screwed us. Marking the ball and then bringing out the chains is a dog an pony show. The most inexact science that exists. I still don't know what defensive delay of game is. I have never heard of that. Anyone able to clear this up for me. Lack of a replay explaining it hurts my understanding.

I hope Andrews cried the whole way home. Beneath this befuddled numbness, I'm beginning to realize how Fireman Ed felt when he quit on the Jets and went on indefinite hiatus for a few years. The Huskies continue to lose in embarrassing, self-destructive fashion and are habitually on the wrong end of ESPN highlights.
 
It's been five years of this crap. That's the biggest issue for me. The lost years followed by the exhibition season and this year with a second nominee for 'not top 10' - See Missouri fake fg followed by Adams attempted field goal.

I get it. Kids work hard. Team is better but the bar was so low after last year that 2-0 gave us hope - imagine that - hope as a fan base. How dare we?

After sleeping on loss, I take back my criticism of the defensive game plan. It kept up in the game and kept our offense off the field (I guess a good thing).

But for gosh dong dong, dad gummit, jesus Christo, wtf, mother flubber, can we PLEASE, I MEAN PLEASE, GET THE FRIGGIN PLAY IN FROM THE SIDELINE LIKE EVERY TEAM IN AMERICA DOES. By my count, we have blown 6 timeouts this year because of this issue and probably 2x that last year. Please clean this up
