If the ACC were to break up, and it won't (because holes will be plugged by raiding the Big East again), you really think one more year in the Big East would matter?
If the ACC gets raided by the SEC, Big 12 , and Big 1G, the remnants of the ACC, may just be WF, Syracuse, Pitt, and BC. There would be no ACC for BE schools to defect to.
The current configuration of the big east really owes it to itself to sit tight and see what the tv contract numbers are like. Jumping in to that ACC contract that others maybe running away from seems foolish.
He'll break away from the bball schools, pickup the ACC remnants and pitched that to the networks as an all sports conference.
