Since Warde Manuel's well oiled dept hasn't posted the box score yet on the UConn Huskies website, I will confine myself to a few non game thoughts:
- No adjustment at the ticket taking gates for games that are near sellouts. The same number of doors open on Church/Ann Street be it 8k or 16k fans.
- This is not a political statement - just an observation. This was the first game I saw Gov Malloy early in the game at the XL. After the Cuse game UC MBB was hot and the politicians were jumping on the bandwagon - that seemed like a bad omen to me.
- Tom Condon of The Hartford Courant wrote recently that there should be more seats allocated at XL for the students - well there were tons of empty student seats today - compared to a pretty packed arena otherwise - except for the noise bleeds. The student section at the XL has been like that much of the year - I wonder if Condon has actually attended a game?
