Playing well for St. John's today. Set a new blocked shot record for the Johnnies in his first game. We were looking good for him until the NCAA ban

Even with the postseason ban I still think it was a dumb move. St Johns probably isn't going to make the tourney anyway so why would he make that a factor?

probably negative recruiting at the time - JC was possibly on his way out and there were all kinds of questions regarding "would he or wouldn't he" be back to coach. Possibly we'd have a better shot at him if we were after him now. I'm sure SJU told him whatever they needed to in order to land him...
