NYT/Athletic March 27 article on WBB coaches carrying the torch after Geno & Dawn

"This isn’t an issue that solely affects women’s college basketball. In recent years, several college sports have seen an exodus of longtime, respected coaches. In the last few men’s college basketball seasons alone, Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski, North Carolina coach Roy Williams, Villanova coach Jay Wright, Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim and Virginia coach Tony Bennett stepped away from the sideline. Those five coaches combined for more than 4,000 wins and nine of the last 20 national titles and carried the men’s basketball’s mantle for many years."

Hmm... If you stay with the "last 20 titles" limit... UConn men have 4! If you go back to 1999, UConn men have 6 of 27. That's 22%, almost a quarter of the men's championships.
And... Syracuse won in 2003 (more than 20 ago). And... Coach K - 3, first in 2001; so...
And... Jay Wright - 2 (really liked him) Roy Williams - 3... Bennett - 1
Enough to make the point that the NYT wasn't willing to mention UConn men or Jim Calhoun (3), Kevin Ollie (1), and Dan Hurley (2)... Oh well.

What you say is true but the article strictly on women’s basketball.
