Regardless of what the major dailies say, here's what Paige's own teammate Nika Muhl contributed in assessing Bucket's talent: "It's in the roof," she exulted. Paige leaned over and told Nika that she meant "it's through the roof, not 'in the roof'." Even in Croatian, you get the idea.

So long as Paige continues to perform at this level, or greater, there is a real opportunity for WBB to reach an entirely new audience. Non-traditional WBB media outlets like the NYT, WP and others will start that process. The potential for Paige to supercharge WBB is unlimited.

The only parallel I can think of in sports is Tiger Woods, who brought millions of new fans to professional golf who had never watched golf before. I can not wait until fans are allowed to fill arenas again, and look forward to the day when Gampel, the XL Center, and every away game the Huskies play is SRO.
