Wow, schools west of the Mississippi are a bunch of flakes. First TCU, then Boise and SDSU. Screw them all

Go to the conference realignment board. There are 3-4 threads addressing this subject.

Well, we could have a conversation here on the football board about how we're gonna fill our home date now.

Does this mean we add Memphis? Does ECU join next year?

I'll be honest. I really don't give a at this point.

Umm, can you blame them? They thought it would be worth it to potentially join a BCS conference. Now? Not so much. UConn needs to just go Independent at this point anyway. This is a good thing in the long run. It will help the dissolution of this joke conference. Flying across the country to play the 6th best program in California is not exactly an awesome game.

New Mexico State is forced to go independent after the demise of the WAC. Sign them up for permanent home games for the next decade.;)

Even though I don't think its feasible, if this thing gets any worse, like adding UMass, I might almost be convinced that an independent schedule makes sense. Memphis, UMass, Tulane, not sure playing 3 MAC games would be much worse, in fact it might be much better.

Shutting the program down or rebuilding Memorial Stadium and pleading with the CAA is a better and more realistic option than going independent.

I wish I was exaggerating.

If they go independent in football their only chance at survival is a getting a good contract from ESPN for their games. Navy and Army basically play a MAC schedule and I am not sure about their revenue but they both have deals with CBS Sports.

BYU made a little over 4 million last year in football, and their contract with ESPN pays them 8 million a year. Without a similar deal UConn football would be losing serious money and would not be able to survive.

BYU has been able to get a few good games in the future, Texas, Wisconsin in '17 and '18, a game with WVU in 2016, but other then that their schedule is weak. Unless you are national brand it is almost impossible to succeed as an independent in football.

Oh I know and I don't disagree but we are going to be in a horrible situation. We do though need to dominate this league.

And we are shocked? Even a blind guy can smell a sandwich when served. They might be dope smokers out there, but they are not dumb. Meanwhile the empty dress suit thinks she can sell the NBE is a great place to be.

SDSU was not coming as soon as BSU got that sweetheart deal from the MWC..
Time to move on and just play who is left on the schedule. Nothing our complaining will do to change this situation UConn is in
