- Samson with the first 4 points of the game.
- Sure seemed that the refs were out to set the tone early. Maybe it's my National Flag Blue tinted retinas at work, but it sure seemed like they set that tone hard in Nova's favor.
- We were missing an awful lot of 3 pointers in the first half.
- McNeeley finally on the board @ 6:07 mark.
- Mahaney buries a 3 at 3:14, then follows that with a steal and lay up.
- McNeeley ties it at 31 with a three.
- Down 5 at the break. We have taken 2 FTs in the half. Nova's taken 17. (see item 2 above) That being said, we are up 2 on them in boards, and lead in dimes (8-2) and blocks (2-0). We're shooting 52% from the field to Nova's 43.5%. In short, we're behind entirely because of the discrepancy in foul shooting opportunities (12/16 to 2/2).
- Second half starts out much like the first. But then, about 9 minutes in...
- Mahaney ties it up at 10:52!
- 3 point lead at 8:17.
- Took us the better part of 4 minutes to turn that 3 point lead into 6. But then...
- 4:35, 60 to 54. Samson
- 3:42, 63 to 54. Alex
- 2:53, 66 to 54. Samson
- 1:36, 69 to 54. Jaylin
- 1:16, 71 to 54. Alex
- 0:43, 73 to 54. Solo
- Final 73 to 56.
- Following Longino's three at 5:53, Nova did not score again until Wooga's free throws at 0:29.
- Can't say enough about AK's game. 18 points, 9 boards, 6 dimes, a steal, a block.
- Tale of the shooting percentages... good guys, 58, 40 & 87. Other guys, 32, 33 & 76.
- We won the 2nd half 42-22!
- Gotta give props to Stewart (7 points, 3 boards and a dime) Mahaney (7 points, a steal, a board and 3 dimes) and Johnson (11 points a block, a steal, a dime and a board), too.
- We managed a win despite both Ball and McNeeley having off nights shooting.
