Why so early? I assume ESPN. That's for mid majors, not the Big East

I don't recall a game ever starting before noon. This is ten am local time out there, right?

Get ready for a slow start by the Huskies.

Notre Dame is in the Eastern Time Zone.

To use an old BC excuse, Daniels is from California so this is like asking him to play at 8 in the morning!

And Kevin Ollie's too. Better not ask him to do a post game interview ...

We've talked about this a bunch of times. The start time is because of the NFL playoffs.

From the paper when the schedule was released:
.....and two games against Notre Dame, including an 11 a.m. start at South Bend (Jan. 14), to avoid conflicts with the NFL playoffs.

Sorry, I missed the previous discussions. Thanks for the info, that makes sense, and that is what I wanted to know.

That really makes no sense. There are basketball games all day on Saturday on ESPN and ESPN2.

A lot of games in the afternoon.

Plus, the first NFL game is at 4:30.

The NFL rules the broadcast world. If they want something they get it. Whether it makes sense or not is of no import.

Couldn't have worked out better for me.

-UConn/Notre Dame 11 a.m-1 p.m. stroll to Boston Convention Center for
-New England International Auto Show 1:30-3:30 stroll to bar for
-NFL Playoffs 4:00-11:30

Why is UConn-ND relevant to the NFL? I really don't get it.

I'm in Vegas this weekend for a bach party. 8am start is amazing, but risky. Can't think of a better way to start the day. Unfortunately, I will not have time to sleep on Friday night with all the gambling and going to the club and all.

You like to stroll a lot...

A few years ago, there was nothing like getting ready for a day on Oahu with the wife while watching the BET tip-off game at 7 AM...
