Just a complete disaster. Bottomline, this team just isn't very good. In a seaon of distractions, the most alarming thing is I haven't seen a single player develop. Think about it......Oriakhi is a shell of himself. Roscoe is non-existent. Drummond is raw. Boatright has no concept of half court offense. Daniels is overhyped. I know people on this board will say I am being negative and unfair but the bottomline is this team played like a NIT team today. Its time to stop sugar coating reality............this team simply isn't that good.

I agree that the time for sugarcoating is over. I was fine with seeing a silver lining in the loss to Syracuse at their own house, but losing to a team that doesn't have a guy taller than 6'4" yet outrebounds the crap out of you at home is inexcusable. I know the refs were brutal, but the refs don't rebound. It's too late in the season to "take positives" out of losses.

that is correct. people on this board got excited about blowing out Seton Hall (without Pope) and Depaul and staying close to Syracuse for 35 minutes....look at their last 4 games against ranked opponents: didn't even score 50 against Gtown, crushed by Louisville, toyed with by Syracuse and outworked/outhustled/outsmarted by Marquette.

They play 3 teams ranked lower in @Nova, @PC, and Pitt.

2 weeks left in the season. And no, they aren't very good at defense and lack leadership and are inconsistent.

Middle of the pack? I'm sorry, but losing to bad teams like Rutgers and Tennessee and folding in big games is not indicative of a middle of the pack team. In general, losing to God-awful teams and running away with your tail between your legs against decent competition is an indication that a team is bad.

Just a discombobulated bunch. Nothing coming together with this group - when you think chemistry, you think identity on both ends, finding your most effective niche' to be good on both ends of the floor. Honestly, I don't even know if they've found anything of the such even this this late in the year - just aimless. Offensively, what I've seen that I liked the most this year was Boatright's chemistry with Drummond down low. But there have only been two stretches of it the entire year. Chemistry also means finding the piece that is leadership - there is a complete void of that on this team. Boatright looked like he wanted to step into that, but can you honestly expect a freshman guard with the NCAA after him all year coming into a bunch that just won a NC being that person? They're so so confused on both of the major points, they shut down for long stretches in games. And with no Calhoun, just the perfect storm for massive disappointment.
