Unrelated to AJ, but in the linked article they have a Sophomore as the best player in HS basketball. For those who follow that level of ball closer, exactly how good a prospect is this Emoni Bates kid?

Seen as many to be the best since LeBron. First sophomore to win Gatorade POY. He’s a sophomore Durant.

He can play ball...Prob going directly to the League..Bypassing Duke and Kentucky..Better than G League talent

Could someone with plus post the Dre part?
He's the second player listed; The more you watch Jackson, the more you can see his potential to grow into a one-and-done prospect. His frame is long, with high-end athleticism and emerging perimeter skills that enhance his ability to affect the game. Jackson will be one of the more exciting freshmen in the country next season, as he excels in transition and finishes plays with regularity. Not only an open-floor player, Jackson has a drive game combined with a rebounding presence, and has a huge upside as a defender because of his wingspan. Jackson has an aggressive, attacking style, and combining his current résumé with his future promise makes him move up the board. Jackson shows similarities to a young P.J. Tucker, as everything is in place to flourish once the outside shot comes.

Agree on everything you said.. Keep in mind that AJ prides himself in his play making skills and models that part of his game after Pistol Pete.. His projected position in the League (despite his immense physical talents) is as a PG/CG.. So..His position in college may be different than in the League..Nevertheless.. Its going to be a lot of fun watching him do his thing while we have him..

The best soph high school prospect I have ever seen. 6’10 kid with a 7’something wingspan, can play in the paint or on the perimeter, lights out 3 point shooter, point guard handling, the family business is basketball development. Kevin Durant comp. His senior year games will be aired on the ESPN networks he’s that good.
