Uconn beat Cal in the 1990 tourney. Kidd was there 2 years later. I grew up a Cal season ticket holder my entire life and randomly decided I would go to Uconn the day they beat Cal. We were celebrating my grandmothers birthday in Monterey, ca and watched the game in my parents hotel room. No idea why I made the decision that day as I literally knew nothing about Uconn other than they were great at hoop and bad enough at football that I might be able to walk on.
