So much for having 4 teams in the top 10. G'town got whipped by Maryland by 19; Louisville getting smoked by Texas A&M by 20+. (Did Shoni play?)

Ah, November.

Ah, November.

As I pointed out in the other thread, Louisville played without its 3 best players: Shoni, Reid and Gibbs.

Louisville was missing Shoni and 2 other starters. Premature to judge them, especially since they were playing at TAMU and TAMU is very good.

Did Sara Hammond do anything? I still wish Uconn had landed her. I think she would have been a good fit for us.

0 points and fouled out. Tough second game of the year. She'll be fine. UConn could use her rebounding.

Hammond had foul trouble for Louisville and spent much of first half on the bench.

I know I may stir some trouble here, but I think Maryland is good. They have the talent and will be dangerous. Alyssa Thomas is very dangerous.

Georgetown didn't shoot the ball well in that game, but I penciled Maryland in for the win.

I agree that Maryland has improved talent. And they played some defense against G'town. Their ranking of about 10 looks fairly accurate. Thomas was arguably the best frosh in the country last year.
