Went away for the weekend with wife and kids and the Prince decommit thread is gone - why?

I know someone acted childish with their responses but why did mods remove???

Don't know why but I'm glad its gone. There still is a chance he may come to UConn, yet having posts ripping the kid is not the best 'you are still welcome' message to send.

He may not read the Yard, but I would bet some of his friends, teammates and associates do.

Wasn't the mods decision. I started that thread and after it hit about 300 replies, I decided to delete it. By that time, most of the board was aware that Prince had decommitted and there wasn't much else to be added to the thread. There was really no point in keeping that thread around, especially with some of the vitriol being thrown at the kid.

And like Kitaman said, I'm pretty sure that Prince's brother was/is posting on the board, and he probably saw a lot of the posts ripping Prince.

Just signed in to say that was a good idea. I may disagree with him being DWade but he seems like a good kid who didn't deserve the crap he was getting.

Did you ever consider the loss of "Likes" that occurred due to your decision. I easily lost 15 during the deletion of that thread. Certainly a factor that should be considered next time someone wants to arbitrarily delete a thread because grown adults are bashing a kid.
