It would be GREAT if the team were to qualify for the NCAA tournament by any reasonable measure. It will bring down a lot of scrutiny of the NCAA and that would be the perfect time to point out that this rule is keeping kids, who have a great APR, out of the tournament because of the APR posted by kids that are no longer on the team. Then we could push the fact that the NCAA is using older data even though newer data is available. Finally, we could point out the fact that they punished UConn for the score of these former players by reducing scholarships and then punished the team a SECOND time by changing the rule/punishment and applying it retroactively. What the NCAA is doing is so un-American it isn't even funny.
