- Why does it seem so damned long between games in the tourney?
- I like the start. Clingan being his early game self, and Castle really came to play.
- 4 dimes on 5 buckets at the first time out.
- We've tried a pair of threes and missed them both. But we're having our way in the paint, and our D, once again, is suffocating.
- At the 12 minute mark each team has attempted 12 shots. We've made 8. NW has made 2.
- Just under 7 minutes left in the half. We haven't made an outside shot at all, but we seem able to score at will in the paint. Need to make this 14 point lead 20 by halftime.
- Well, that didn't take long. 22 points at 2:40.
- The stats that jump out at me at the half are that Castle has 2 fouls, but none of our other starters have ANY. We held the opponent to 26% shooting while only committing 4 fouls total. That and the 16 buckets on 13 assists.
- 53,18,86% to 26,0,100% shooting in the first half.
- Would really like to see us win the 2nd half by at least 10. We have let a few big leads shrink after halftime lately.
- Clingan gets block #6 on the first play of the 2nd half. He's only 4 away from the big man's triple double.
- 17.25 left and he's now 3 blocks away.
- I hate it when we try to burn clock and lose our sense of urgency. Lead is down to 16 with 4 minutes left.
- Thrilled we're still alive after that awful 2nd half. Is it even possible to win when you go 3 for 22 from 3? I guess it is, but I wouldn't want to make a habit of it.
- It gets tougher from here on out, as the riff-raff has pretty much been eliminated. Got to find the killer instinct we seem to have lost.
