Wow, could this finally be the year that Jen Hoover has turned around the Demon Deacons futility in WCBB since taking over the reigns? She lost to Arkansas this year 98-82, no shame in that as we just saw on TV and she beat a very good Missouri State team so here's the opportunity to "state your case with authority!" I picked Wake in what many may view as an upset but really isn't. Coach Banghart is a year away from her super recruits.

I am curious to see this game; Wake has played a far more challenging schedule to this point. I have to proctor a Final Exam this evening for an instructor who is sick, so will be recording this one...and the Miami/Syracuse game...so it will be a late night of WBB for me when I get home. Thank goodness I am off on Friday and can sleep in a bit.

Wake Forest has some nice pieces...and UNC has talent, too, and I'm expecting a competitive game.

I caught most of the second half of this game. On the Miami-Syracuse thread, someone said Miami's seniors werent' playing like that. Wake's seniors -- notably guard Gina Conti and forward Ivana Raca -- were. Besides scoring, they led the Deacs in everything else and guided the ship home. Conti's improved every year she's been there. Good win.
