NC State will be out for revenge after losing to UNC two weeks ago. Jakia Brown-Turner had an off game against UNC the first time...the only game this season she has been held to single digits. She's coming off an almost career day against Wake. I hope, but will not go as far as expecting, NC State rolls in this one.

After a slow start, NC State on a 7-0 run to take a 15-8 lead, 2:27 left in 1Q. Only two fouls called so far. Both teams a little sluggish to start. UNC, which buried a record high 11 THREEs against NC State in the first game, is 0-6 from distance so far.

End of 1st quarter...NC State up 19-8, ending the quarter on an 11-0 run. Jakia-Brown Turner has 8 points for NC State, which was 8 of 18 from the field. UNC made only 1 of its final 11 FG attempts in the quarter, and was 4 of 16 from the field. The Wolfpack Women out-rebounding UNC 14-8.

UNC led by Alyssa Ustby with 6 points. The Tar Heels shot 24.2% in the first half and has missed all 13 of its THREE attempts.

NC State winning the rebound battle, 27-22 and leads in points in the paint, 16-12.

Jakia Brown-Turner with 25 points, on 10 of 16 from the field, 4 of 5 from THREE and added 6 boards to a solid game. Kayla Jones 20 points and 8 rebounds. Elissa Cunane 17 points and 14 boards. The Wolfpack Women had 13 assists.

UNC shot 35.3% on 24 of 68 from the field, 5 of 24 from THREE and 10 of 13 from the FT line. The Tar Heels placed 4 in double figures, led by Deja Kelley's 14 points, Petra Holeshinka's 13, Janelle Bailey 12 and Alyssa Ustby 10. UNC had 12 assists in the contest.

NC State won the battle of the boards, 46-39. Stephanie Watts and Holeshinka each grabbed 7 boards for UNC. The Wolfpack won points in the paint, 44-30.
