Figured this was worth making one thread for rather than starting a bunch of new ones.. The AAC has done pretty well so far in the non-conference slate. Today especially was a big day for the middle/bottom of the league: Temple beat Auburn by 14 today after an 11 point win over Old Dominion yesterday Tulane is currently up 21 points on Colorado State and is on their way to 3-0 Houston is up 7 on Drexel at half Cincinnati has looked remarkable so far, winning by 40 again last night over an overmatched Coppin State team ECU plays Central Connecticut tonight and is probably the only true dumpster fire left other than USF, who everyone knew would be atrocious this year Tulsa bounced back from an opening game loss to Lamar with 2 wins, including a win over MAC favorite Western Michigan yesterday. Big game for them tonight vs Iowa State Wichita State has come out hot with two blowout wins. They play Cal Monday in their next game. UCF survived against Gardner Webb- I need to see more from them before announcing them as a for sure top 4 team in the AAC this season SMU has rounded into form already and is blowing out bad teams at home And finally Memphis. The Tigers lost to Alabama the first game of the year but its actually a pretty talented Tide basketball team. Memphis came back to beat UALR last game. Not sure what to make of the Tigers at this point. They host a bunch of garbage the next few weeks and we probably won't know about them until they play Louisville December 16. Who has impressed you most? Surprise team has to be Tulane for me- even if they haven't really beaten anyone of note its good to see them winning games against teams we need them to beat. Up 23 at half against Colorado State is pretty impressive IMO.
