It seems with the de -industrialization of Ct the tough blue collar kid who saw football as their ticket out of the factories has disappeared with it. The powers in football in Ct with few exceptions seems to come from wealthy areas,or regional schools. Many of the kids that play today don't need football . Growing up New Britain, Stamford, Hillhouse, Ansonia , were the powers .even Warren Harding and awest Haven had its moments.
