Embarrassing. Here 5 minutes before kick and nobody is in the stadium. At all. Including students. Not trying to be a Debbie downer but seriously? This is asinine.
 
Well we didn't see that on TV. The first they showed the student section during the BYU first drive, it was packed.

That shot of the crowd before the second BYU kickoff showed a pitiful crowd. I trout 38000 were sold?
 
On the replay of the INT from the end zone, looked like a filled stadium except for the far upper corner.

You must have been in the bathroom. They showed a large empty section. Right after the Mark Twain house.

See my edit. Review it on the replay. Maybe the angle of the shot but it was empty section in the end zone.
 
Looks like the stadium filled up during BYU's opening drive.

Looked better coming out of the end of the first quarter.
 
People talking about how it looked on TV...why were you watching it on TV? If you live in CT and are complaining about how a home crowd looks on TV save it. It was a really decent environment tonight for a game in which we honestly stood little chance.
 
Slow to arrive but filled in by end of the 1st quarter.

That place was pretty full for a game that was guaranteed to be a boring blowout.
 
There was more people left with 11 mins to go in the 4th quarter than I can remember in a long long time. Yes, all those penalties by BYU in the 2nd half is why we weren't blown out. The holding calls against them had nothing to do with our guys getting to the QB if they weren't held.

This board is like groundhog day. The same people melt down after every play or game, year after year.

I saw progress in the second half. Others see "the foot off the gas or penalties" as the reason we lost 7-3 in the final 2 quarters.

The place was... "pretty full" for a prime time ESPN game vs a potential top 25 team in a time when UConn needs to put it's best face forward every chance it gets to on national TV? Pathetic... just pathetic. And then peeps here have the audacity to complain that UConn isn't in the B1G or ACC. Where are all these die-hard, loyal students and their friends to at least fill both end zones and then some? There's supposedly what..30K students enrolled in a single year and you can't get even a third to show up for 6...maybe 7 times a year at "THEIR HOUSE"?

The current students don't know the football team for anything, but losing seasons. Unless they were into it with their parents before getting to Storrs, they have never seen a winning football team. Once BYU scored the first TD the students were already yelling "when does basketball season start?" It's going to take some winning before the energy coming from the student section rivals that of 5 years ago. Right now there is a lot of apathy among the students.
 
At times like this, Husky nation needs a return of DJ Dogpound.

Keep him away from the turn table... I mean the return of the parody poster. We need a laugh.

DJ, where are you to make sense of it all?
