Who knows where they got this from (here? Horde?) but I'd be in favor of it. FWIW, Ball State's last regular season game is Friday. Which means he's available to attend (and be interviewed) at the Memphis game.

Another thing to like about Lembo -- motto on his Twitter page is Anything, Anytime, Anywhere. Let him do the scheduling.

Is there a dead period for coaches to interview? Since we're waiting until Dec 7 it could be a short window depending on our timetable which might need to be flexible.

Jack del Rio already interviewed for the USC job, whilst in the midst of being the interim HC of the Denver Broncos.

We may not decide/hire until all candidates are available/interviewed but the process had likely been ongoing for a couple months now.

It appears aside from 'gentleman's agreements' there are no rules (tampering included). Warde said he wouldn't interview another coach in the middle of their season because he wouldn't want someone to do that to him. Contacting agents? Another matter entirely and hope that process is well under way.

In other news from that site, the Edmonton Eskimos hired coach Chris Smith from the Argonauts ... so it looks like we're out of that running.

Jerry Glanville is interested in the Eastern Michigan job? Talk about a head-scratcher!

He actually was the coach of a team that played their home games at The Rent.
