- Whaley 2 fouls early. Not good. Both on touch fouls.
- Now 2 on Sanogo. Losing both of our starting bigs in the first 5 minutes doesn't bode well.
- After trying Samson, Dan Hurley gambled and put Whaley back in. But he was a little tentative -- avoided contact and never looked at a three, after hitting 4 of 8 the other day. At least neither he nor Sanogo ever picked up #5.
- OK, new rules. UConn is not allowed to play defense in the paint.
- Had to shut the sound off 8 minutes into the first half. Couldn't stand either announcer, especially the color guy.
- Gaffney looks a lot better with the haircut. Too bad that didn't translate into playing better.
- Jackson did worse than nothing. 3 defensive boards, 2 dimes and 1 point on 50% foul shooting. 0 for 6 from the field. AND lousy defense.
- Martin played well early, but then pretty much disappeared until late.
- Not sure what was worse -- our rebounding or our defense.
- Nice to see Hawkins contribute and shoot well in the 2nd half, after stinking the joint up in the first half.
- I'm done. Nothing else to say about the atrocity I witnessed today. Lick our wounds and move on. Try to get better.
