No late game leadership or killer instinct

We had a nice 2nd half lead on the road and still found a way to lose. This team is leaderless and has no killer instinct. Sure they are good but these two components are vital to a team's success.

No leadership
My biggest fear would be a close game, where we needed a basket and someone to lead in 1)keeping our composure, 2) gathering the team, 3) encouraging them and 4) putting them on their back. My fear was realized and its mid February. No one stepped forward.

No killer instinct
We have an open door team where no lead is too safe. We can't close games period. We panic, make mistakes, look disjointed and absolutely show no toughness/heart. When was the last time one of our players made a hard foul?

This is not good folks and without this I can't see a Championship, no matter how well we do in March and April (hopefully). Sadly and unfortunately, I also think its too late to fix.

When the game gets long with a small lead, we start "stalling". This requires someone to beat their man and make a play late in the clock. This doesn't happen. We jack up 3's. We miss them because we're really not that great a shooting team, and we lose. Offense was day and night in the 2nd half after we stopped going to the hole following ball movement in rhythm and instead dribbled for 24 seconds and tried to force up a 3 (when we even succeeded in getting a shot off).
