Mau, with all due respect, you seem to be strung a tad too tightly. I don't want to see Geno as UConn's mens basketball coach. I never mentioned that. I concur with most, if not all, of your points regarding the differences between the mens and the womens game. But our congruency here is not relevant given what I had stated in my post. My post was a response to a poster's dismissal of the womens team as worthy of viewing. I saw irony in a person willing to watch a generally dysfunctional mens team that was often hard on the eyes, yet unwilling to partake of a generally fluent, efficient, highly functional womens team that is hard on "his" eyes. That point was punctuated with a dash of snarkiness while suggesting that viewing the womens games could be a tonic to the disappointing ongoing mens season (and for the football season for that matter). It worked to a degree for me. My wife is principally a womens fan, so I watch many games with her.(It also helps with the what-are-we-going-to-do-together department). I realize that most of the games become blowouts, but it is not the games, as much as, admiring the entirety of the product and feeling good about it. Look, I'm a fan of all UConn sports. But I'm wed to the mens basketball game. I die with the mens team. While on the Boneyard, I spend 99% of my time on the mens basketball board. I've never posted on the womens board. I have a question for you: Why don't you criticize Whaler or August, or others, that clearly state their interest in Geno being head coach of the men and thereby drive you crazy? And while you're doing that, suggest to them that they leave the mens bball board and only post on the womens board.
