Does someone have a source to determine the last season that UConn failed to achieve at least one week ranked No. 1 during the season?
It's also worth noting that during the 2012-13 season UConn was #1 for only one week, on Dec. 31, 2012. UConn spent the rest of the season at #3, behind Baylor and Notre Dame, until the NCAA tournament.2011-12. Baylor was undefeated and ranked #1 in both the AP & Coaches polls from start to finish. UConn got as high as #2 before losing to ND in the national semifinals, ultimately finishing at #3 in the AP & #4 in Coaches.
You are correct. Only the coaches poll is voted on after the NCAA championship is completed. It's also worth noting that during the 2012-13 season UConn was #1 for only one week, on Dec. 31, 2012. UConn spent the rest of the season at #3, behind Baylor and Notre Dame, until the NCAA tournament.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the AP poll, unlike the coaches' poll, does not do a postseason ranking after the NCAA tournament.
