If anything, maybe she should have started, the edge she brings might have prevented such a lackluster start. Hindsight thought though, certainly not a criticism.

Great to see Nika back, but she still hasn't learned to take a shot in the paint. She was one step away from the basket for a layup and she kicked it out to Evina who I think was inside the foul line. I love Nika, but it is apparent that she cannot be in the game when we are struggling offensively and need points. The Arizona defense was tremendous on the perimeter, but in a game when the bigs were frankly embarrassing, we needed shooters who are willing to find a way to score. May have made the fifth starting spot next year a little more clearer.

Agree. AZ doubled and trapped our perimeters quite successfully as we only had 2 offensive threats on the court. If next season we have Paige, CW and Azzi Fudd on court, everything seems fine then.

What little comeback Uconn made in the 4th quarter was due at least in part to her pushing tempo with the ball, she wasn’t remotely lost.
True, she picked up the pace a lot from the lack there off for most of the game. We didn't look down court, perhaps a left over from the Baylor game where we threw the ball away several times. Our passing was not sharp even when we connected, the player getting ball got it in poor position or on the run. The ball was a hot potato at times with a player getting it at unexpected times. We were out of sync with the slow pace until two minutes left in the game. It seemed that playing behind and missing so many point blank shots early impacted us the entire game and gave spirit to AZ.

Also agree. In several tight games this year we deferred much too much to two shooters, ran the clock down to find them and they unfortunately had to rush shots. At several critical points in this game we had too many non shooting players on the court allowing the defense to double down with great effect. Even so, our bigs needed to position themselves for offensive rebounds after setting a pick. That didn't seem to happen much.
