From goofy kid to TOUGH AS NIELS!!!

Most underrated piece of this beautiful puzzle if you ask me.

He's as calm as anyone didn't hit his threes this time around but it didn't bring him down. He got some tough rebounds and played great D, love this kid.

He was ice cold tonight but it didn't effect any of the other things he does and it never does with Niels. He is a warrior, as you said he came in as a skinny freshman who looked a little awkward and he's now a man. He's one of my all-time favorite Husky's.

His three on Friday was huge.

His rebound today was huge. Props to Giffey.

He played a great game... After the way he shot this year, I was amazed to see him not only get 5 wide open looks, but actually miss them. He's an incredible glue guy and does all the little things that don't necessarily show up in a box score. One of my fave's as well.

That rebound was a killer. His D at the end was outstanding.

His shot wasn't falling tonight, but I'm glad he kept shooting.

He had SO MANY clutch rebounds tonight and played GREAT D! Glad he is disciplined enough to know how to contribute to the team in other ways if his shot isn't falling. Love him! So happy for Niels!

I expected every one of those shots to go in. After all the misses I expected us to win on a huge late Niels 3. It didn't happen yet he still managed to grab huge boards and that transition dunk was awesome as well.

I think if we lost Niels might have had a tough night thinking about missed shots, despite how well he played in every other facet. Now his clunker is out of the way. Watch him light it up on Saturday.
